1972 – While rodeoing in Sonora California I spotted a 1956 orange big window that changed my life forever
1973 - Started gathering parts for the truck purchased while rodeoing and found out they were everywhere
1973 - Started selling the excess parts found such as back bumpers that were highly sought after. Found these in hideaway wrecking yards in little rodeo towns
1974 - My mom typed up the first catalog
1975 - First swap meet Booth at Pomona
1975 - Placed first ad in Hemmings motor news. Only Chevy truck at that time
1976 - Produced the first reproduction parts for 1955 to 1959 trucks. Gas tank grommets and vent door rubber
1977 - Started traveling all over the west to GM dealerships buying obsolete parts
1978 - Opened a retail store in Santa Barbara California
1978 - First trip to the Carlisle PA swap meet to buy parts
1978 - First ad in Truckin’ Magazine. Only Chevy truck at that time
1979 - First magazine story in Classic Rodder magazine and Truckin’ magazine
1981 - Produced the first ever Chevy GMC Truckin’ nationals in Ogden Utah
1982 - The first company to produce classic GM truck bumpers
1982 - First year selling parts at Carlisle Pennsylvania
1983 - Opened store in La Palma California
1983 - Put a big rig on the road to work swap meets from coast to coast
1985 - Moved to a larger store in Buena Park California
1985 - Added a second big rig on the road to be able to hit all the major shows
1985 - Jumped into the monster truck scene with a classic twist Skoal Bandit monster truck 1958 cameo
1986 - Built the second monster truck in 1966 a Fleetside Copenhagen Skoal Crusher
1988 - A third monster truck was produced 1972 Fleetside AMPM Boss
1989 - Moved to a 40,000 square-foot warehouse in Santa Ynez California shipping out over 200 packages a day with 30 employees
1990 - Secured discontinued tooling from GM and began to distribute two out factories in the United States
1992 - Over 1200 parts in our catalog were produced off the original GM tooling or tooling that we had produced exclusively
1993 - 1957 old iron 4WD & off-road project truck. Built in our Buena Park store. Two years of stories and a great sweepstakes giveaway
1995 - 1957 Truckin’ magazine sweepstakes giveaway truck. Built in our Buena Park store
1996 - Moved to a 20,000 square foot show room in Santa fe Springs with 10 employees working the counter
1999 - Sold Golden State pick up parts
2003 - Still had the bug to provide hard to find and quality parts for GM trucks so I started Quality Classic Parts
