1955 - 1959 GMC headlight switch identification. Here’s the breakdown on 55 to 59 GMC headlight switches note the 58 and 59 switch was also used up through 1962 on many GMC trucks and it used a shorter rod on the knob.

The GMC knob was gray and the same knob and rod from 1955 to 1957. 58 and 59 had a gray knob with a shorter shaft. I just produced this gray knob that works for 1955 to 1957 and if you use the universal 55 to 59 Chevrolet Switch, which is the same is the 57 GMC switch this knob and rod will work.
