Question and Answer

As you can imagine, I get a lot of questions every day about Chevy trucks from 1947 to 1987, and to tell you the truth I’m always learning new things even after 50 years. I thought I’d share some of the more interesting questions, especially ones that I get asked over and over again.
Quick Quality Question:
Good morning can you have somebody send me my price on a complete set up for a six lug stock wheel front disc brake system for 55 to 59 Chevy trucks. I wanna keep their stock wheels so I can run my stock hubcaps and beauty rings. Thank you.

Terry,
Classic Performance Products (www.classicperform.com) has a 6-Lug Front Disc Kit for the stock axle, but if you want to run the stock hub cap and/or a beauty rim, the kit still requires buying a new disc brake steel OE style wheel. No one that I know of has a kit the works with original drum brake wheels.
You can buy these wheels from Wheel Smith, Stockton Wheel  or Wheel Vintiques
Kits run between $549 and $850 depending on if you want a booster or manual brakes.
